8th Forum of Rail Transport - International conference

Conference objectives

The main objective of the Forum of Rail Transport is to create a space for creative and friendly meeting of professionals in the area of preparation and realization of development investments as well as in area of maintenance, reconstruction and operation of railway and urban rail transport. The conference aim is to evoke during two days a wide discussion, prepare a space for cooperation of professionals from universities, state and public institutions, research institutes, from construction and design companies, from operation, manufactories and maintenance. The good quality infrastructure is a key factor of each community. Topics like interoperability and railway transport development in the Transport policy of EU and Slovakia up to year 2020, followed by preparation of planning period 2014 – 2020 are very important. The actual topics are modernisation of the conventional lines and development of new high speed lines in EU and integration of the public passenger transport in the big city agglomerations and regions.
In the conference agenda is also included a site visit to "Reconstruction of junction Vienna – central station".
The company PSKD provides the continuation of successful prestigious 2nd year award "PERSONALITY OF RAILWAY AND URBAN RAIL TRANSPORT in Slovakia".
