The total length of the Turecký vrch tunnel in the axis is 1,775 metres, the coined part is 1,740 metres long. The remaining 35 metres are constructed in an open construction pit and then backfilled. The tunnel is designed as a bored tunnel according to the principles of the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NRTM).
The alignment in the tunnel is designed for a speed of 200 km/h and consists of two counter curves with a radius of 2,000 metres. The axial distance of the tracks is set at 4.20 metres. A central drainage channel of DN 500 profile is also proposed in the tunnel axis, which flows at both ends into fire reservoirs in the vicinity of the portals
